Who can use Nooby

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nooby. The app asks for your birthday the first time you open it to check this; the birthday itself is not stored. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms like these where you live, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

You agree to give us accurate information, such as a working email address if you link one, and to keep it up to date.

Your account

You can use Nooby without creating an account. Your progress is then tied to the device you are using. To keep it across devices, or to recover it if you lose your phone, link an email address, a Google account or an Apple ID from the account screen. Linking converts your existing progress into an account; nothing is lost or merged.

You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

You can delete your account at any time from the account screen in the app, or by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your goals, reflections, companion and progress. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the App Store or Google Play (see below).

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on the website we store your email address so we can tell you about Nooby. We send the occasional update and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.

Using Nooby

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Nooby for your own, non-commercial purposes, as long as you follow these terms.

Please do not: copy, modify, sell or redistribute Nooby or any part of it; try to reverse-engineer it or get around its security; use it to harass or harm anyone; upload anything unlawful; or use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access it.

Your content

Anything you type into Nooby, such as goals, quests, reflections, mood check-ins and messages to the goal assistant, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it so Nooby can work for you, and for nothing else beyond what our Privacy Policy describes.

If you add friends in Nooby, they can see the profile details the app shows to friends, such as your display name, your companion and your shared streak. Only people who have your friend code, or whose code you have entered, can add you.

The goal assistant

Nooby includes an optional assistant that helps you draft and edit goals. Its replies are generated by an artificial-intelligence model provided by Anthropic. The app tells you this and asks for your permission before your first message is sent. Generated suggestions can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you; you decide which goals to keep, and you are responsible for what you do with them.

Please do not put sensitive personal information, or information about other people, into the assistant. We may limit, pause or remove access to the assistant for accounts that abuse it, such as by sending spam, abusive content or an unreasonable volume of requests.

Nooby Plus subscription

Nooby Plus is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra features and rewards. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and the purchase is made through Apple's App Store or Google Play using the payment method on your store account. We never see your card details.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; deleting the app or your Nooby account does not cancel it. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

Refunds are handled by the store you bought through under its own rules, and we cannot issue them directly. The features included in Nooby Plus may change over time; if we remove something material we will tell you before your next renewal so you can decide whether to continue.

Virtual items and currency

Nooby has in-app currencies, such as energy and noobits, and cosmetic items for your companion. You earn them by using Nooby, and some are only available with Nooby Plus. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are a licence to use them inside Nooby rather than property you own. We may change how they are earned or what they unlock, and they are lost if your account is deleted or closed.

Our content

Nooby, the Noob character, the artwork, names, logos and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These terms do not give you any right to use them outside Nooby.

Third-party services and app stores

Nooby relies on services run by others, such as app stores, payment providers, sign-in providers and the AI provider described above. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. Their own terms apply.

If you downloaded Nooby from Apple's App Store, this licence is between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Nooby and is not responsible for any claim relating to it, including product-liability, consumer-protection or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. The same applies to Google for the Google Play version.

Not medical or professional advice

Nooby is a companion for everyday goals and self-care habits. It is not a medical, mental-health, financial or other professional service, and nothing in it, including the goal assistant, is advice of that kind. If you need help, please speak to a qualified professional. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Availability and changes

Nooby will keep changing. Features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms; when we make a material change we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Nooby after that means you accept the change.

Ending things

You can stop using Nooby, leave the waitlist or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your access if you break these terms or if we need to in order to protect Nooby or other people.

Disclaimers

Nooby is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Gigaverse Games Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of Nooby, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as that law permits.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we have a disagreement, please write to us first and we will try to sort it out informally. If that does not work, disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
